OKRs I worked on this week:
Junior review preparation
Prepare and do an internship
Confidently talk about my primary interests and my top strength
“Junior review preparation”
After finalizing the layout of all three case studies, I decided to temporarily stop working on the case study content. Instead, I started thinking about how I could structure my presentation for the junior review inspector. That means I should start working on the pitch and the slides deck for the junior review. Hence, I started I gathered all the content for my case studies.
“Prepare and do an internship”
As planned from last week, I started to send out internship applications again. It will be my main activity for the upcoming weeks. I anticipate submitting at least 5 applications a day to satisfy the OKR requirement. Besides that, I started to adopt the practice of reading the job qualification carefully so in the future I know that is the industry’s expectation for me when I start my career. It is also a good practice to help me prepare for interviews.
“Confidently talk about my primary interests and my top strength”
Since I am almost satisfied with what my case studies look like, I started drafting my answers to some of the possible interview questions. In the draft, I used a huge portion of the “Why Interaction Design?” content to introduce my primary interests and top strength in the field of interaction design. In addition, I updated the “about” page of my portfolio. With the help from my native colleagues, I was able to craft a self-introduction that is more appealing to recruiters and also grammatically correct.
